Seth Rollins Will Have a Great Showing at the Royal Rumble

Seth Rollins is booked to compete in the main event of WWE's Royal Rumble coming up on Sunday, January 25.  The match also includes Brock Lesnar and John Cena and is for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
While the outcome of this bout is anyone's guess, several different scenarios could play out on that night.  No matter what happens, there can be no doubt that Rollins will look good in his match.
The former Architect of The Shield has been bred for success from the moment he became associated with Triple H.  Handpicked by The Game as the future of WWE, Rollins was immediately thrust into the spotlight and began receiving more attention than many fans likely thought possible.
While his former teammates Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were left to fight alone, Rollins was surrounded by the corporate structure of WWE.

The Shield
The Authority had Rollins' back, and the faction protected him at every turn.  While it was all done at the behest of Triple H, the fact is that Rollins excelled in his role.  Presented as the smarmy, overconfident heel who believed his own hype, Rollins took advantage of every possible moment he had on camera to remind fans of just how bright his future really was.
The crowd began to hate him for it.
This dislike might stem from Rollins' heel actions, or it could be due to the fact that both Ambrose and Reigns are more romantic choices, guys who fit the mold of a top draw in the company.  Rollins is not the entertaining Superstar that Ambrose is, and he's not the marketable Superstar that Reigns is.
Rollins is just a guy that is building his reputation as one of WWE's best antagonists.  While that process has been a slow-rolling boil in many ways, Rollins is beginning to get hot.

Rollins wins on Raw
Rollins has so much momentum that many fans are likely now rethinking their position that Rollins would be the third runner-up in the post-Shield era.  Rollins is beginning to look like a star, and that evolution took a major step forward on the January 12 edition of Monday Night Raw.
It was on that night that Rollins stood face to face with Lesnar and didn't flinch.  The Beast Incarnate stared right through Rollins, and Rollins never blinked.  For the first time in a long time, someone other than a veteran WWE Superstar crossed paths with Lesnar and lived to tell the tale.
And when Rollins delivered his Curb Stomp finisher to Lesnar in the ring, it became apparent that WWE was more serious than ever about Mr. Money in the Bank.

Rollins is now headed to the Rumble and the biggest match of his pro wrestling career.  He will be under the microscope more than ever before, and he will be on stage for the whole world to see.  He may be accustomed to that, but the inclusion of Lesnar changes everything.  Fans have seen how Rollins looks against Cena.  But against Lesnar?  That's a different story.
Soon, the issue of how Rollins measures up to a main event monster like Lesnar will be resolved.  Rollins has a prime opportunity to shine at the Rumble, and it's a chance that he will surely not let slip by him.
Rollins is considered by many fans to be one of the best hands in WWE.  Despite who he's working or what he's doing, he will deliver every time.  It also means that he not only cares about how he looks in the ring but about how the match itself looks.  Rollins is a talent who wants to succeed, and he has done everything necessary to do just that thus far.
The Royal Rumble could potentially be more than just the biggest night of his career; it could also be the most successful.
The fact is that Rollins has two opportunities to walk out of the Rumble as the new WWE world heavyweight champion.  He can either win the Triple Threat match he's booked in, or he could cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase afterward.  Either scenario would see the former Shield founder ascend to the very top of the company, eclipsing both Ambrose and Reigns.
Whether or not that happens is unknown, but what is for certain is Rollins' ability to give a great performance in a WWE ring.  That is exactly what will happen on January 25 when one of the company's top workhorses steps onto the big stage and shines once again.
